Heart coherence training
Train your heart rhythm to calm your nervous system. Heart coherence is a proven technique for stress and burnout recovery.
What is Heart coherence training?
Heart coherence (HeartMath) trains you to create a harmonious, rhythmic heart rate pattern using controlled breathing and positive focus. This state of coherence has measurable effects on stress, emotional regulation and cognitive performance.
During coherent breathing (about 5–6 breaths per minute), heart rate variability becomes regular and synchronised with your breathing. This signals safety to the nervous system and activates the parasympathetic 'rest and digest' response.
How does it work?
The breathing rhythm
Breathing in for 5 seconds and out for 5 seconds creates a 0.1 Hz resonance frequency that synchronises heart, lungs and brain, the coherence state.
Measurable results
HRV biofeedback devices make coherence visible in real time, helping you learn the technique more quickly and apply it in stressful situations.
What can you expect?
You learn the coherent breathing technique and practise it daily (5–10 minutes).
You combine the breathing with a focus on a positive feeling (appreciation, calm).
You practise recognising stress states and applying coherence in real time.
Advanced techniques help handle challenging emotions.
You develop a personal routine for maintaining resilience long-term.
