What you can do right now

We expect to open around October or November. Until then nothing can be booked and you pay nothing. What is already there:

✓

You secure the founding member benefit. Signing up takes five minutes. Everyone who joins from the start gets 3 free months from their first client and then always pays €20 per month below the regular rate: now €49 instead of €69, excluding VAT. If the regular rate is raised later, that €20 difference stays.

✓

You get your own waiting room straight away. A personal page where you complete and later refine your profile at your own pace: approach, specialisations, rates for follow-up care and your photo.

✓

You see how clients will see you. Your waiting room shows a preview of your profile, exactly as it will look at launch.

✓

You help shape the platform. Every suggestion comes straight to me. At this stage plenty can still be changed, and that is the whole point.

✓

At launch a community is ready for you. As soon as we open you get access to the treatment toolbox, you start peer consultation groups or join one, and you consult other providers via the team chat. Included in your membership.

✓

At launch you are there from day one. As soon as we open, your profile is visible in your region and you set your availability. You do not have to start over.

What you get

Why providers choose PsyIntake

You set your own schedule

You decide which days you work and at what times you do intakes. On a day you work you open at least one slot, beyond that as many as you like. No fixed working hours, no imposed rosters. Easily combine with your own practice clients.

Direct intake clients

Clients book via the platform and pay the booking fee there. You conduct the session. You set follow-up treatments at your own discretion and rate.

No hassle with no-shows

If a client does not show up on your working day or is ill, open your calendar so that a new intake session can quickly be scheduled.

Intake form in advance

The client completes a detailed questionnaire before the appointment. You begin the intake session already with the right background, so you can focus on the conversation itself.

Online and in person

You decide yourself whether you offer intakes in person, online via video, or both. Fully flexible per time slot.

Your own dashboard

Manage your calendar, receive notifications for new bookings and track your number of intakes via your personal dashboard.

A community around you

Consult other providers via the team chat, organise peer consultation and use the shared treatment toolbox with protocols and psycho-education. All within the platform, included in your membership.

Community

You're not on your own

Working independently means missing what a team gives you for free: a quick word about a case, peer consultation, using each other's materials. On PsyIntake that simply comes with your membership. No separate subscriptions, no extra costs.

Treatment toolbox

One place with everything you can use in your practice right away: EMDR protocols, psycho-education to hand to clients, regulation materials and videos per treatment method. And the treatment toolbox grows: providers submit their own materials, the editorial team reviews them, and then everyone can use them.

Peer consultation you set up yourself

Start your own peer consultation group within the platform or join an existing one. You choose the topic, the time and the video call link. Members see each other's name and discipline, never email addresses.

Team chat with other providers

Discuss a case, coordinate a referral or exchange thoughts with someone in your specialty. In the team chat you reach the whole group, providers within your specialty or one person directly.

The community opens together with the platform. As a founding member you help shape it from day one.

Active in 5 steps

01

Sign up in 5 minutes

Fill in your name, email address, profession and town. You then tick that you hold a relevant diploma or registration and professional liability insurance. These are your own documents, your own responsibility. Your profile text, your rates and the rest you fill in afterwards, at your own pace.

02

Your own waiting room

You immediately get a personal page where you complete your profile at your own pace: your approach, your specialisations, your rates for follow-up care and your photo. You also see a preview of how clients will see you, and you can tell me directly what could be better. No waiting time, no approval round.

03

Visible from day one at launch

As soon as we open, your profile is there from day one and you set your availability. From that moment a client finds you, selects a time slot and pays via iDEAL, processed directly by the platform. You receive a notification of the booking.

04

You conduct the intake

The intake session lasts 60 minutes. Online via video or at your location, your choice. Everything around the treatment you arrange yourself.

05

Follow-up care on your own terms

If you and the client agree on a treatment relationship, you arrange that directly, at your own rate, your own method, your own pace. PsyIntake plays no further role.

Documents

What do you need to join?

You declare upon registration that you hold the following qualifications. You are personally responsible for the accuracy of this information.

✓

Diploma appropriate to your profession

The required qualification differs per discipline: from a WO master's in Psychology for psychologists and GZ-psychologists, to HBO qualifications for counsellors or certified training for coaches and mindfulness trainers.

✓

Registration with your professional association

BIG register (psychologists, psychiatrists), NIP (psychologists), NVVS (sexologists), VEN (EMDR therapists), ICEEFT/NVRG (relationship therapists), RBNG (counsellors), ICF or NOBCO (coaches), depending on your profession.

✓

Professional liability insurance

Valid professional liability insurance appropriate to your discipline and working method. We do not ask for separate business liability insurance, as many providers practising from home do not have it.

✓

Disciplinary law (recommended)

If you are registered in the Dutch BIG register, statutory disciplinary law applies to you. For other professional groups, joining the disciplinary scheme of your professional association is recommended, so a client always has somewhere to turn. It is not a condition for taking part.

✓

Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG, max. 1 year old)

Certificate of Good Conduct issued within the past 12 months. You do not need it to sign up now: you tick it within 6 weeks of the start, otherwise your profile stays hidden until you do.

✓

Complaints committee membership (recommended)

Affiliation with a recognised complaints committee or disputes body appropriate to your professional association. This is strong advice, not a condition for joining.

Independence and the DBA Act: PsyIntake is set up as an intermediary platform, not an employer. You set your own rates and availability and decide which clients you take on, and you invoice your follow-up care directly. Whether you work exactly within the framework of the Dutch DBA Act depends on your own situation; check with your accountant or adviser if needed.

Costs and income

Transparent, no hidden costs

PsyIntake is a platform for first intakes. You conduct the intake as part of your subscription. The client pays PsyIntake: you receive no intake fee and pay no fee per intake. Your income comes entirely from follow-up treatments at your own rate, directly with the client.

Your costs

€69

per month excl. VAT, after your 3 free months

✓Visible to all searching clients in the Netherlands
✓Own dashboard with calendar and client overview
✓Direct notifications for new bookings
✓Cancellable monthly after minimum period

Minimum period: 6 months after trial

Calculation example

Until your first client you pay nothing. After that you get three free months, and then it is €49 per month, so €588 per year, for as long as you stay.
If one client continues after the intake, that is already €1,620 at 12 sessions of €135. So a single client who continues more than pays for your whole first year.
I do not promise you numbers. How many clients reach you depends on your region, your specialisation and your availability, and in the early days on how well known the platform is.

How does it work exactly? The client pays the booking fee to PsyIntake. This covers our costs for the platform, marketing and accessibility. After the intake you are the treating provider, all payment for your treatment sessions goes directly to you, at your own rate.
How does it work with insured care? The client pays PsyIntake €195 for arranging the intake. That is a booking fee, not care, or €215 in the evening and at weekends. If you offer reimbursed follow-up treatment afterwards, you arrange that directly with the health insurer through your own contract. PsyIntake does not act as a declarant.

Questions providers ask us

I already have a full practice. Why would I do this?
A full practice is exactly when PsyIntake is a valuable safety net. A practice is never static: clients finish, drop out or move away, and then you are left recruiting from scratch. With PsyIntake you keep a steady inflow without doing anything for it, no marketing, no waiting for referrals. You control the tap: on a day you work you open at least one slot and beyond that as many as you like, and the moment you are full you switch on pause mode. So it costs you nothing when you do not need it, and you have new clients the moment a place opens up. After the intake you decide who fits you; you are never tied to anything.
I am just starting out. Is PsyIntake right for me?
Absolutely. PsyIntake is especially valuable when you are still building your practice. No network needed, no waiting for referrals. You get clients directly via the platform.
What if a client does not turn out to be a good fit for me?
That can happen. After the intake you decide whether you want to take the client on for follow-up care. You are never obliged to enter into a treatment relationship.
How do I know clients are serious?
Clients pay for arranging the appointment in advance. That filters out people who are 'just browsing'. You receive people who have made a conscious decision and genuinely want help.
Can I work together with other providers on the platform?
Yes, and that is a deliberate part of the platform. Via the team chat you consult other providers directly: the whole group, within your specialty or one on one, for example to align or arrange a referral. You can also start your own peer consultation group within the platform or join an existing one. And in the treatment toolbox you find EMDR protocols, psycho-education and regulation materials, and you can add your own materials too. All of this comes with your membership. Email addresses are always shielded.
Can I work both online and in person?
Yes. Per time slot you indicate whether you are available online, in person, or both. Fully flexible.
What if PsyIntake still has few clients in my region?
We actively invest in marketing per city. And you only start paying once you have had your first client: after that you still get three free months. No client means no costs, not even while the platform is still growing.
What if I am temporarily full and do not want new clients?
Switch to pause mode. Your profile shows 'temporarily unavailable', you receive no new bookings, but all your data stays intact: your profile, your statistics, your availability history and your position on the platform. The lower pause rate of €19 per month applies after the minimum term of 6 months; if you pause before that, your normal monthly amount continues. When you want to start again, simply deactivate pause mode and you are immediately visible. Cancelling and restarting later means you build everything from scratch again.
How does the Dutch DBA Act and self-employment work?
PsyIntake is set up as an intermediary platform, not an employer. You set your own rates, your availability and which clients you take on for treatment, and you invoice your follow-up care directly. Whether you work exactly within the framework of the Dutch DBA Act depends on your own situation; check with your accountant or adviser if needed.
