PsyIntake BV (hereinafter: "PsyIntake") operates a digital matching platform that connects clients with independently operating, BIG-registered or otherwise recognised mental health professionals.

PsyIntake does not itself provide care, diagnostics, psychotherapy or medical advice, and is not a healthcare institution within the meaning of the Dutch Healthcare Providers Admission Act (Wtza), the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz) or any other healthcare regulation. All care is provided exclusively by the independently registered practitioners on the platform, acting in their own responsibility.

Practitioners on the platform are self-employed professionals acting in their own name and at their own risk and expense. No employment relationship, agency agreement or similar relationship exists between PsyIntake and practitioners that would give rise to any liability of PsyIntake for their actions or omissions.

The information on psyintake.nl, including descriptions of mental health complaints, DSM criteria, treatment methods and professional disciplines, is intended solely for general information purposes and does not in any way replace a personal consultation, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.

PsyIntake takes the greatest possible care to ensure the accuracy and completeness of published information, but cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of the content. Medical and psychiatric science is constantly evolving; always consult a qualified healthcare professional for personal advice.

No rights may be derived from the outcomes of the self-tests on this platform. The self-tests are screening instruments for orientation purposes only and are not intended as a clinical diagnosis.

PsyIntake is not liable for:

• damage arising from care provided or omitted by practitioners, their advice or treatments;
• incorrect, incomplete or outdated profile information of practitioners;
• failure by practitioners to comply with their statutory or professional obligations (including BIG registration and professional secrecy);
• direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage resulting from the use of or reliance on information on this platform;
• temporary or permanent failure, errors or unavailability of the platform;
• loss of data, income or opportunities resulting from use of the platform;
• content on external websites linked from this platform.

To the extent that PsyIntake's liability is nonetheless established on any grounds, it shall be limited to the amount paid out by PsyIntake's liability insurance in the relevant case, or, in the absence of a payment, to a maximum of the amount paid by the user to PsyIntake in the three months preceding the damaging event.

PsyIntake is not suitable for emergency psychiatric care or crisis situations. In case of immediate danger to life or acute psychiatric crisis, always call 112 (ambulance) or 113 (Suicide Prevention). Your GP is the first point of contact for urgent care needs.

PsyIntake bears no responsibility for damage resulting from a user's failure to consult emergency services in a timely manner when using the platform instead of or prior to obtaining necessary acute care.

All copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in the content of psyintake.nl, including texts, images, data structures and software code, belong to PsyIntake or its licensors. Nothing from this website may be reproduced, stored in an automated database or made public, in any form or by any means, without prior written consent from PsyIntake.

This disclaimer is governed exclusively by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in the Amsterdam district, unless mandatory law designates a different competent court.

PsyIntake reserves the right to amend this disclaimer at any time and without prior notice. The current version is always available at psyintake.nl/en/disclaimer. Continued use of the platform after an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended disclaimer.
