Hypnotherapy

Work with a relaxed, focused state of awareness to access deeper-rooted patterns that are harder to reach in regular therapy.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses a state of focused relaxation in which the conscious mind becomes quieter and the subconscious more accessible. In this state, suggestions are more readily absorbed and deeply rooted patterns more easily explored.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis does not mean losing control. You remain aware and in control throughout. The therapist guides a process you participate in actively.

Evidence base: Research supports the effectiveness of clinical hypnotherapy for anxiety, phobias, IBS and certain pain conditions. Hypnosis is a real neurological phenomenon confirmed by EEG and fMRI studies.

How does it work?

Bypassing the critical mind

In hypnosis, the analytical, critical part of the mind is quieter. This makes it easier to work with imagery, suggestions and emotions at a deeper level.

Not sleep

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention, similar to the absorbed focus you feel when reading a compelling book.
