Sign up in 15 minutes

Fill in your profile: name, BIG number or professional registration, specialisations and availability. Indicate that you hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), relevant diploma and liability insurance. These are your own documents, your own responsibility.

Your profile is immediately live

After registration your profile is immediately online and visible to clients throughout the Netherlands. No waiting time, no approval round.

Client books and pays

A client finds you on PsyIntake and selects a time slot. Payment is processed directly via iDEAL by the platform. You receive a notification of the booking.

You conduct the intake

The intake session lasts 60 minutes. Online via video or at your location, your choice. Everything around the treatment you arrange yourself.

Follow-up care on your own terms

If you and the client agree on a treatment relationship, you arrange that directly, at your own rate, your own method, your own pace. PsyIntake plays no further role.

What do you need to join?

You declare upon registration that you hold the following qualifications. You are personally responsible for the accuracy of this information.

Diploma appropriate to your profession

The required qualification differs per discipline: from a WO master's in Psychology for psychologists and GZ-psychologists, to HBO qualifications for counsellors or certified training for coaches and mindfulness trainers.

Registration with your professional association

BIG register (psychologists, psychiatrists), NIP (psychologists), NVVS (sexologists), VEN (EMDR therapists), ICEEFT/NVRG (relationship therapists), RBNG (counsellors), ICF or NOBCO (coaches), depending on your profession.

Liability insurance

Valid professional liability insurance appropriate to your discipline and working method.

✓

Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG, max. 1 year old)

Certificate of Good Conduct issued within the past 12 months.

Complaints committee membership

Affiliation with a recognised complaints committee or disputes body appropriate to your professional association.

Minimum availability

At least 1 intake slot per working day (Monday to Friday) to be set via the dashboard. Holidays or absences to be entered in good time.

Demonstrable work experience

Relevant work experience as an independently working provider in your field.

Independence and the DBA Act: PsyIntake is set up as an intermediary platform, not an employer. You set your own rates and availability and decide which clients you take on, and you invoice your follow-up care directly. Whether you work exactly within the framework of the Dutch DBA Act depends on your own situation; check with your accountant or adviser if needed.

Costs and income

Transparent, no hidden costs

PsyIntake is a platform for first intakes. You conduct the intake as part of your subscription. The client pays PsyIntake: you receive no intake fee and pay no fee per intake. Your income comes entirely from follow-up treatments at your own rate, directly with the client.

How does it work exactly? The client pays the intake fee to PsyIntake. This covers our costs for the platform, marketing and accessibility. After the intake you are the treating provider, all payment for your treatment sessions goes directly to you, at your own rate.
How does it work with insured care? The intake via PsyIntake is non-reimbursed care. The client pays €195 themselves. If you offer reimbursed follow-up treatment afterwards, you arrange that directly with the health insurer through your own contract. PsyIntake does not act as a declarant.

Questions providers ask us

I provide insured care but run into my care ceiling at year-end. What can PsyIntake offer me?
That is exactly the situation PsyIntake is designed for. When your care ceiling is reached, you cannot start new reimbursed treatments. But your schedule is partly empty while you do have treatment capacity. Via PsyIntake you receive clients for non-reimbursed intakes and follow-up care. They pay directly themselves, fall outside your care contract and do not count toward your ceiling. This keeps your practice full and your income stable, even in the last quarter of the year.
I already have a full practice. Why would I do this?
A full practice is exactly when PsyIntake is a valuable safety net. A practice is never static: clients finish, drop out or move away, and then you are left recruiting from scratch. With PsyIntake you keep a steady inflow without doing anything for it, no marketing, no waiting for referrals. You control the tap: a minimum of one time slot per working day, and the moment you are full you switch on pause mode. So it costs you nothing when you do not need it, and you have new clients the moment a place opens up. After the intake you decide who fits you; you are never tied to anything.
I am just starting out. Is PsyIntake right for me?
Absolutely. PsyIntake is especially valuable when you are still building your practice. No network needed, no waiting for referrals. You get clients directly via the platform.
What if a client does not turn out to be a good fit for me?
That can happen. After the intake you decide whether you want to take the client on for follow-up care. You are never obliged to enter into a treatment relationship.
How do I know clients are serious?
Clients pay for the intake in advance. That filters out people who are 'just browsing'. You receive people who have made a conscious decision and genuinely want help.
Can I work both online and in person?
Yes. Per time slot you indicate whether you are available online, in person, or both. Fully flexible.
What if PsyIntake still has few clients in my region?
We actively invest in marketing per city. And the first 3 months are free, so you take no risk while the platform grows.
What if I am temporarily full and do not want new clients?
Switch to pause mode for €19/month. Your profile shows 'temporarily unavailable', you receive no new bookings, but all your data stays intact: your reviews, statistics, availability history and your position on the platform. When you want to start again, simply deactivate pause mode and you are immediately visible. Cancelling and restarting later means you build everything from scratch again.
How does the Dutch DBA Act and self-employment work?
PsyIntake is set up as an intermediary platform, not an employer. You set your own rates, your availability and which clients you take on for treatment, and you invoice your follow-up care directly.
